Flying to New Orleans tomorrow-last minute question!

we land tomorrow morning at MSY and drive to our hotel in St. Francisville...Is there anywhere along that drive that's worth stopping that two 17 year old boys would find really cool to see?

Take em through the LSU campus and stop to see Mike The Tiger's new home.

The French Market area along the River. The market is neat to look through and on the opposite side of the street are small t-shirt and souvenir shops. There's also places in and around the market to grab a bite to eat if it's that time of day for you. It's also intersting to see the paddleboats on the Mississippi...skip the aquarium if you walk that far, it's kind of expensive and not for kids that old. Also acroos the street from the Market on the far end is the Old US Mint...was closed for a Holiday when we tried to go, so we didn't see the inside, but might be worth the AC if nothing else. Enjoy!
