Hi all, not sure if anyone is reading this so I'll keep it short. Mom and dad headed for a swamp tour with Cajun Encounters this morning and loved it! Hubby and I got biscuit breakfast sandwiches at Johnny's (Herm/Deny- thank you for posting about these! Great price and DELICIOUS!). Took them to go and grabbed some cafe au laits at the Community Coffee near the corner of Decatur and St. Louis and took our food and drink to a bench along the Mississippi. Ah, wonderful start to the day. Then, walked to Canal Street streetcar and headed to City Park. Checked out the oaks and wandered for a couple of hours. Sun was hooooot, so headed back to the FQ to cool off and give our feet a rest after a couple of hours of walking. Got off the streetcar, grabbed a couple frozen pina coladas and then headed to the PDA courtyard to stick our feet in the pool to cool off. Ahhh...relaxing. and now here we are on our second round of drinks enjoying every moment of Mark Pentone and Frank Fairbanks at Tropical Isle (Original)..god, these guys are good! You know a musician is good when you no longer associate a song with the original artist, but instead hear Mark Penton's voice in your head instead. Missing our little guy at home, but so happy here at the same time... have a happy day TA!
