Sunday evenings in the French Quarter ?

When we arrive in NOLA it will be around check in time (3p) on a Sunday. Is there much open on Sundays such as the shops, bars, restaurants etc.? and do they places stay open late?

We will check into our hotel and get situated and all and then probably find something to do on Sunday evening.

thank you

Pet--There will be lots of places open by you! El Gato Negro, Fiorella's (fried chicken), Margaritaville are the three that come to mind! You will not have a problem finding food or drink--AND the Ice House Bar in the hotel will be open too if you want a good drink before you start wandering!

Yes, most everything is open on Sunday...bars, bars with live music, restaurants, shops, French Market....the bars and restaurants will be open late. I suggest you stroll and enjoy.

Business as usual. I actually like the vibe on Sundays. It's not as hyper/crazy as Saturdays, but there's a fun mood on the Sunday.

Pet--The French Market is right around the corner from Margaritaville! Very close to the hotel and you won't be able to miss it. El Gato is across the street from the French Market too! It really is a great area of the Quarter! Not to forget you will be very close to Cafe Du Monde too!

Molly's at the Market, Pravda, Coop's are nearby on Decatur as is the Palm Court Jazz Cafe. Quartermaster Deli and Verti Marte are open 24/7 for great deli food.

Yesteryears at 626 Bourbon St. is a great store to visit. They tend to stay open late.
