Driving in for Cruise on Superbowl Sunday, will traffic be t

We will be driving into N/O early Sunday morning, 2-3-13 to leave on a cruise and are worried about taffic jams on our way to Port of N/O. Will this be an issue?

YES! Give yourself a LOT of time.

Do you have a parking lot planned?

Be patient , because it will be a huge pain, BUT you're headed out on a cruise!!

Did the Carnival Conquest in Sept. and had a Blast!!

Check the Downtown Development District's website for road closures in and around downtown. Many routes are already closed and every weekend prior to the SuperBowl they are closing more roads. Be prepared by checking the routes into town in advance. Sorry, I can't remember the website right now, but I'm sure you can google "road closures in New Orleans for the SuperBowl".

Enjoy the cruise!
