What is the difference between the two omni hotels? Is one better than the other?

1. Re: Hotel question

Omni Royal Orleans is a medium-large (345 room) full service hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, arguably the best tourist hotel location in the City. Omni Royal Crescent is a smaller (97 room) boutique hotel in the portion of the Central Business District close to the French Quarter. Both hotels are well thought of, but the location and rooftop pool/bar of the Orleans make it a standout.

3. Re: Hotel question

As an Omni Royal Orleans frequent stayer, I am in full agreement with Loop. Great location - though a large hotel, it seems smaller - they have great personal service with some staffers who have been there 30 years or more. They just completed a nice renovatiom program which adds balconies to many rooms and nice finishes to all. Drawbacks are smaller rooms and baths - I'd avoid Petite rooms and ask for rooms with a view of the quarter along St Louis or Royal. Beautiful rooftop terraces, pool.
