Which is better? NOLA for 8 Days once/YR or 4 Days Twice/YR

Haven your option which is the better option

Going to NOLA once a year for 8 Days at a time or going to NOLA twice a year for 4 Days at a time?

Which would you prefer?

Coming from Texas, twice for four days. Our current regimen is one six night and two three night stays per year.

For me definitely twice for four days but I'm a short and inexpensive flight away. If I were further away like our Canadian friends I'm sure I would opt for the eight day trip.

maybe two eight day trips???? (gotta make that trip count, bobby!)

and thanks for thinking about us! It's the air fare that's a killer! $835 round trip!

Depends on how addicted you got. Once I started traveling here, a one year wait between trips was just too unbearable for me.

Last year (my first year of traveling to NOLA) I was fortunate to have two 8 day trips to NOLA; one in March, one during Halloween. This year, I have only one 12 day trip in November. My future trip schedule is still to be decided.

I'd have to go for the 8 days...flights ARE expensive! I don't think we realize how lucky we are to have a place like Nola to go to!

For me, 4 days twice a year works best...I'd love to do 8 days, but once a year isn't enough! Plus my kids would definitely object to me being away so long..

If time and money were no object, I'd choose 2x a year for 4 days........

Obviously it all depends on your location and ability to leave home for a shorter/longer period of time. For us, it's the four days twice a year thing.....usually it's a three night stay only because of our pets. Occasionally we go three times a year. I don't think I would consider eight consecutive days even if I had the opportunity. In our case, we have done the majority of things of interest during our thirty + years of visits, and I couldn't fathom being away from home that long (and yes, I am certainly not an internationally seasoned traveler). But, as in the case of my Canadian friends, an eight day trip makes the cost of travel much more worthwhile. We all do what we can, Jordansbulls.
