where are you flying into? there may be transfer buses . also some of the tour operators (such as crystal) run buses to solden, and if your plane arrival time is before theirs, you could contact them and see if they have a spare bus seat

The other place to ask is Tourist Information in Solden - they often have "village" taxis/buses that regularly run to and from the airports -good luck

You have various choices for transfers-

Most major resorts have transfer shuttles. You pay a fix fee with other passengers - modwerate prices

The Otztal / Solden region for example

otztal shuttle or oetztal shuttle

they service Innsbruck airport and train station, Otz train station and more

www.oetztal.com

or google firm

also various taxi services - perhaps you have already found these with the pricing higher but very convenient

When we arrived at Innsbruck we managed to get a place on a package tour bus going to Solden, I got the impression they are happy to let you do this for a small fee. We paid 15 Euros each which was a bargain. The transfer took about 1hr 20mins. On the return journey we took public transport. This meant a local bus (Otzal Line) from Solden centre to the train station at the end of the valley (Otzal Bahnhof). Cost was about 15 Euros each (single). From the Otzal Bahnhof you need to take a train to Innsbruck station, cost about 10 Euros each. From Innsbruck you then catch a bus from outside the station to the Airport, not sure about the cost as we were confused about ticketing and ended up not paying! Wouldn't be much. In all the journey took about 2hrs 20 mins but we were pretty lucky that we didn't have to wait long between connections. I would suggest you allow 3 hours for the total journey if you are catching a flight. On the first bus we didn't get a seat for the first fifteen minutes which made it a bit awkward as i had a snowboard bag and there is no provision for skis and snowboards on any of the three buses/trains you need to catch. It is obviously much easier to get a taxi direct but at a 140 Euros each way it is not cheap. My advice, try and blag one of the spare places on a package tour coach if you are able to. They seemed happy to sell us places on the way there, and it was a very good price. If not the public transport is fine, and good value, if a little long winded. There is a direct coach service from Solden to the airport, about 50 Euros each way, per person but the times didn't work for us so we didn't use it,
