White Pass

What is the best way to see. Shld we take the train or is the drive just as nice. What is the name of the place with the sled dog puppies. What other places/ stops are there places to see beyond White Pass.

By far the best way to see the White Pass and beyond is to take the WPYR trip for the longest distance available on the day combined with a road trip further into the Yukon to Emerald lake and then back to Skagway by road. The scenery and experience on the train is very superior to the drive over the Pass, and the rail and road diverge on different routes into BC and the Yukon. By booking with Dyea Dave or Chilkoot Charters it is an easy excursion to arrange, and very worthwhile.

The train just goes up and back on the same track through the same scenery.......railroad on once side of the river gorge, and highway on the other side, no difference......pick which one fits your schedule.......

The two land operations doing ground sled dog tours are goldrushdogs.com and alaska excursion. They both usually have puppies.
