Fun Things To Do

Hello all! It's our first trip (2 single females) - can you recommend some fun things to do? We will be there Feb. 21-24. Thanks.

Could you provide some idea of what you consider fun? Be easier to advise, right?

The Space Needle, Pike Place Market and the ferry to Bainbridge Island are all things we enjoyed doing during our time in Seattle. :)

Agree it would help if you let us know something aboutg your idea of "fun"? And perhaps your general age group and interests?

I think fun is riding the monorail, the new Seattle Streetcar, going up the Space Needle, taking a ferry somewhere, poking around in the Pike Place Market, walking on the Waterfront.

I'm not a museum person myself, but if you are then the downtown Seattle Art Museum and The Frye are good bets.

Outside downtown the Fremont neighborhood is fun, or going out to Ballard to see the Locks. There's Woodland Park Zoo in Wallingford. The Aquarium on the Waterfront.

Teatro Zinzanni dinner theater is definitely fun. Or The Triple Door or Jazz Alley for live music.

Teatro Zinzanni (zinzanni.org) - We went there last night in between Valentine's Day and my wife's birthday. It's a marvellous experience with acrobats, comedians, dancers, singers, a live band, a fine dinner, and embarrassing audience participation. You are seated in a circus tent holding about 200 people. The show is going on all around you the entire 3+ hours. Even the waiters get in on the act, dancing with the single females.

Tickets range from $104 to $135 - higher towards the middle of the tent. Plus extras: a required $10 per person room service charge, drinks, a $20 photo, souvenirs.

On Sunday morning there is a brunch with live jazz at Serafina's (a great Italian restaurant in the Eastlake area near downtown).

Salty's on Alki Beach would be a fun place for you to dine, very good seafood here, pretty views of Seattle from the outdoor patio, there is a fireplace outside if the weather is chilly. :)

Go for a 90min "sightseeing tour" with the Duck http://www.ridetheducksofseattle.com/

Lots of fun - one vehicle for the road AND the water. and they even show you the house boat from "Sleepless in Seattle".
