Yes. Only a 5-10 mins. walk up to the Market. More like ~15 mins. to get to Macy's/Nordstrom central shopping area.

The hotel sits down on the waterfront, but is conveniently located next to a staircase (with elevator) that goes up to the bottom of Lenora St. @ Western Ave. Go up those stairs, turn right, and the Pike Place Market is 2 blocks to the south, right in front of you you'll see the north end of the where the Market begins.

Grab a street map, to get to Macy's from the Market (say if you'd walked thru the market & were now standing by the Pig statue & under the big clock in Pike... then you'd walk inland from there 3 blocks or so. -suze

as mentioned the Marriott sits at the foot of the Pike Place Market so it uphill but there is the elevator and also a free waterfront trolley that would take you to 1st and Yesler where you could catch any bus going up 1st ave to get to the market without much walking.
