I like the Cyclops Cafe breakfast, and they're close to where you're staying.

Also the Hurricane Cafe over on 7th.

There's no pretensions at either of these spots, and the drinks menus are pretty good too.

Pike Place Market has a lot of options.

Cherry Street Coffee is good and there are two locations in Belltown.

5 Points Cafe is also good, as is Mecca Cafe on Queen Anne further away.

Coffee shops are everywhere. They all have things to eat.

You're not far north of the Tom Douglas area, where you can get a delicious, rather more expensive breakfast.

I've been there and it is good, bit I don't recall it being THAT good. We have lots of places that roast beans, put the leaf (or heart) in the foam, etc. I don't know of anyone else with a slow bar, but I have seen French press and aerojet coffee offered.

I noticed a great many reviews were from visitors, which makes sense because it is right near the market.

If you love coffee and chocolate, be sure to go to Dilettante.

You will have good coffee no matter where you go.

If you want to sample the best espresso Seattle has to offer then head to Cafe Umbria in Pioneer Square.

Non-touristy and true coffee aficionados swear by the place.
