Two days with a rental car, what to see?

Two full days in Seattle with a rental car, what are must sees? Staying in South Lake Union.

the car will not be helpful but you could use it later to explore a few places. On top right read One Day itinerary without a car'. That can easily stretch into two days. In the evening you can use the car to go to the top of Queen Anne Hill and see the view from Kerry Park and also to drive to Ballard and explore the Govt locks.

Thanks! Also looking at apartments in both Seattle and Bellevue so thought the car would help expedite the process.

No on Bellevue...the 520 floating bridge is tolled and the camera takes a pic of your license plate...one way or another you are going to pay a punishing toll if you travel between Bellevue and Seattle very often. If you are going to live in the area you can get a good-to-go pass similar to what you have in California...that will save some bucks in the long run.

If you do plan to drive 520 to Bellevue, you can set up a temporary account to pay the tolls without incurring hefty surcharges from the rental agency. Under Top Questions about Washington you'll find a link to a post about this.
