both very nice. sort of depends on what your in town for. Mayflower is older and classy and close to everything. Hyatt 8 us new and contemporary. A few blocks further from main tourist attractions but in a great location just a bit farther out of the main core but only by a few blocks.

Both are good hotels. I would choose based on your style and the amenities you prefer.

The Hyatt Olive 8 is a newer, contemporary styled hotel with a very nice indoor pool, hot-tub, fitness area, and spa. I believe they charge for in-room internet access, (one of my gripes) though there is free wifi in public areas.

The Mayflower Park is a traditionally styled hotel, in operation since 1927. Internet access is complimentary. Very good restaurant onsite.

Couldn't be more different hotels, close to each other. Mayflower Park a slightly more central location. It's an historic hotel, the longest continually operating one in Seattle, family owned. Olive 8 is extremely contemporary and modern and one of the newest hotels downtown.
