One night concert trip

I am planning on doing a Portland to Seattle train trip in August for a couple concerts. I would be spending a couple nights in Portland, then taking the Amtrak to Seattle for just one night. So far I've figured out the Portland part of the trip, and am looking for some tips on Seattle. The show is at Showbox at the Market. Any ideas of a place to stay with fairly easy transportation options to the show? I know the area can be expensive, so the cheaper the better. I'm a 23 year old guy so I don't need anything too fancy. Also, I would need to get to the airport the next day. What would be the best way to do this? Thanks for any advice!

My friends that come to Seattle for concerts on a regular basis swear by the Ace Hotel.

But it books up fast so if you think that fits your budget you need to make a reservation quick.

Another place they've used to be near concert venues downtown is the Moore Hotel.

Green Tortoise Hostel is on the same block. There are a few other hostels, one down by the train station. The City Hostel is decorated with street Art.
