good restaurants near the Grand Hyatt in Seattle

We'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt after attending a Seahawks game in December - does anyone have recommendations re dinner that would allow my vegetarian older son to enjoy his meal, as well?

Thanks!

Tom Douglas' restaurants are excellent and should have some dishes that would satisfy your vegetarian son. Check out Dahlia Lounge, Palace Kitchen, Lola and Serious Pie. You might also take a look at Andaluca in the Mayflower Park Hotel and the various restaurants in the Pacific Place Mall. All are within a few blocks of the Grand Hyatt. If nothing else, there's always the Cheesecake Factory, practically around the block from your hotel.

Vegetarian has a very broad meaning. Can you clarify: lacto, ovo, pescatarian, vegan?

We have many wonderful Thai, Indian, Mediterranean, Asian, etc. restaurants to choose from. Any dislikes to help you narrow it down?

Most restaurants in Seattle will have vegetarian items on the menu, unless your son has follows a specific type.

There are plenty of restaurants that will work, depending on the style of restaurant and your budget. As above, any of the Tom Douglas restaurants are good choices, and Serious Pie has one of my favorite all-time favorite vegetarian pizzas ever - yukon gold potato, rosemary and romano. Lola has a wonderful vegetable tagine and portabella kebab.

Here are some other moderately priced choices:

Dragonfish, close to the Grand Hyatt, features asian cuisine, with multiple vegetarian items.

For a wine cafe, with a nice, eclectic menu that should make everyone happy, check out Purple. It's a little further south from the Hyatt, but I like their menu, as they have a nice variety for vegetarians.

If you are beer fans, the Tap House on 6th, has 150+ beers on tap, an eclectic menu with some veg options.

If you want all vegetarian, just outside the downtown core Plum Bistro is in Capitol Hill or Cafe Flora on Madison.

Well, he basically doesn't eat meat/fish, and is slowly beginning to avoid dairy.

Wow - thank you so much! Everyone has been so helpful. We are coming down from Bellingham for a long overdue Seahawks game (been wanting to do this for three years).

Hi, a very tardy follow up on my post re good (not deadly expensive) restaurants near the Grand Hyatt...I forgot to mention that my husband is disabled, so restaurants that are easy to walk to would be great.

I really appreciate all of the diverse recommendations presented earlier - thank you!
