Closest Fish Market to Seattle Premium Outlets?

I was told to visit fish markets in Tulalip for fresh, cooked seafood.

Where is the nearest market we can visit when coming from the Seattle Premium Outlets?

Thanks!

I haven't heard of fish markets at Tulalip but maybe research at the Tulalip web site.

Anyone else heard of this?

Maybe this? www.yellowpages.com/tulalip-wa/fish-market

Justin, why there? If you'll be in Seattle, there are others, including the well known ones at Pike Place Market.

The only fish market near there that I can think of is i Everett next to the Naval Station, on Marine View Drive. It is fine for locals to buy their fish (we did), but it isn't a draw for tourists like Pike Place Market is.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately my friends will only spend basically half a day across the border and they will spend most of their time at the outlets. I thought there was a market close to it where they can drop by.

From the outlets to the one on the waterfront in Everett, it is only about a 10-15 minute drive. Heading south, there is an exit that bypasses the bulk of downtown Everett and will take you right to the waterfront area, so it is really easy to get to.

they may be thinking that since Tulalip is a tribe sometimes native fisherman sell right from their boat. I don't know if this is true. If they are returning to Canada I'd be leery of recommending bringing fish or meat items across the border without declaring first.

That market in Everett sadly closed a couple years ago. Scuttlebutt brewery on the waterfront has good fish and chowder in their restaurant and there is an Anthony's nearby.

Close to the Outlets, there are some good restaurants inside the Tulalip Casino. Go to the higher end non-buffet one for the best fish selection.

People who live in the area of the outlets eat a lot of fish, but mainly they catch it themselves. The only other fish market somewhat nearby is in Snohomish on 1st Ave (no longer Chuck's Grotto - new owners).

I have seen some fish being sold from trucks on the Tulalip reservation (between Marysville and Warm Beach) but I suspect it's a very catch-as-catch-can sort of deal.

If you're coming to/from Vancouver, however, there's this - yelp.com/biz/skagits-own-fish-market-burling…

ainwa--Thanks for the heads up:) We were probably there right before it closed. We still go to that area for the base, but haven't been to the fish market there in a bit, obviously, lol;) Good call on the one in Snoho. We walk down there a lot:)
