Best? Depends.

If your cruise departs from Pier 66 (NCL, Oceania) then the Marriott Waterfront is the most convenient - across the street from the cruise terminal. For all other cruise lines, you'll depart from Pier 91, which is a couple of miles north of Pier 66 and has no hotels nearby.

The Mayflower is a very nice older hotel, very conveniently located downtown close to all forms of transportation - light rail from the airport, trolley to Lake Union, monorail to Seattle Center, buses everywhere. It's walkable to the Pike Place Market and has many restaurants close by.

The Arctic Club is located close to a light rail stop, but is in the office core, without very many restaurants in the immediate area. It's a grand old historic office building that's been tastefully converted to hotel use.

Without more information on what YOU consider "best," personally I'd go with the Mayflower.

Mayflower for me. Marriott only if you leaving from pier 66 otherwise its not as central as the Mayflower for sightseeing. On top right did you read about 'cruises from Seattle?'. Lots of info including

Haven't stayed at the other two, but you can't beat the Mayflower Park for comfort, price/value and location (for both shopping and dining). When our timeshare condo (on 9th between Olive and Pine) is not available, the MP is the first place we look to book.
