Will there still be holidaymakers in Marseillan in October

Looking for somewhere to stay in October that doesn't close down at the end of the summer. Nice has been suggested but that's a bit big and grand for us. Marseillan looks lovely but don't want to be the only 2 in the restaurant at night.

The Etang de Thau is a favourite eating spot for Montpellier folks.

However the Noilly Prat tours finish for the winter.

My experience is that most holidaymakers have left by mid October. September/October are the months when many owners spend time in their holiday homes and they tend to stay as long as the weather holds. Besides, it seems that people retire to Marseillan. The place is definitely not dead outside the main season; I would call it nice and quiet. How busy the week-ends are depends largely on the weather, but on a fine Sunday you should book a table for lunch if you want the more popular places.

Near the coast smaller places like Gruissan and Collioure will also have all year activity.
