one night seward, alaska 07/2008 - lodging recommendations?

2 couples need one nite seward july 24 2008 before embarking RCI on evening of July 25. so far, windsong lodge and holiday inn express were our picks - until we learned that they are very pricey and reviews very mixed. looking for recommendation - ok to share large suite or 2 rooms. can you post your experience? thank you!

We stayed at The Breeze Inn in Seward. It had quite nice rooms, very clean, and not as expensive as the other 2 you mentioned. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

welcome. if you have time while there, check out the SeaLife Center. It was very nice. The Breeze has a dining restaurant nearby. There's a Subway next door and a fudge shop and some other stores.

May ask what "RCI" is?

Is that the timeshare company?

Try Whistle Stop Lodging adjacent to the HOliday Inn. They share a parking lot--or, at least, that's where we parked. There are two large rooms in an old Alaska Railroad Car with a foyer in between.. Super clean, lots of room, fridge, microwave, table, chairs, sofa, two beds, large bathroom. It was one of our favorite places to stay while on our 18-day trip last summer. The windows face the harbor. Within walking distance to most everything.
