Hotel Maritimo - kids club

Hi there, we're staying at the Maritimo for 12 nights early July. We usually holiday in the Algarve so this will be our first time in Crete & we're really looking forward to it.

We're a family of 6 with 4 kids aged 14, 10, 7 & 5 and I was wondering if anyone has used the kids club at the hotel, and if it's any good?

Any other hints or tips on the hotel, Sissi & Crete would also be great (we're planning on hiring a car for a few days to some exploring, trips to water parks, etc.)

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think there is much of a kids club at Maritimo if any. They have a small play area which is OK for the younger children. Vasia Beach which is almost next door has a very active kids club and early evening disco's which I'm sure your children will be able to enjoy. There's an excellent Mini Golf course on the other side of Sissi with a play area for all ages (see reviews Sunset Bar/Mini Golf).

I'm sure you'll love Crete and Sissi in particular.

Hi, You will love Sissi, you have to try at least the top 10 restaurants on Tripadvisor, they are all wonderful.

The best for us for value and quality is not far from you , The Taverna Edem.

You should search on here and look at a couple of water parks nearby, search for the Star Beach Water Park and Acqua Plus Water Park .

Enjoy Sissi, if you need to ask anything else fire away

Hi there

Yes definitely recommend the aquarium too..we went in the winter and there was lots of the local children on school trips , they also have a few interactive displays as well.

If you have a car and fancy a drive...probably an hour from where you are staying and fancy something a little bit different .....you may be interesting in walking with donkeys a wonderful charity ...have a look at this web site for more info..
