1. Re: New Year

New Year is well celebrated in Malta and is very lively.

Most hotels will put on a New Years special meal with plenty of drinking and a good party atmosphere.

Outside there will be lots of noisy fireworks that sound like the start of World War 3.

The streets will be full of noisy revellers and you will be certain to have a great time.

Sliema or St Julians would be ideal places . St Julians has a good selection of hotels that would be ideal for celebrating New Year.

Have a great time.

I have just realised that you posted on the Bugibba forum.

The Bugibba / Qawra area is also good and lively at New Year and there are several decent hotels in that area.

I celebrate at the Topaz Hotel and always enjoy it.

Valletta and Floriana will be having open air celebrations - haven't heard anything about transport yet
