Qatar is nowhere near Malta - I do hope that you mean Qawra.

The Blue lagoon is on the neighbouring island of Comino so you will need to take bus 221 from Bugibba Bus Station to either Mellieha or Cirkewwa and pick up a boat from there.

For more info see tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g190312-… and http://www.unitedcominoferries.com/ and www.englishrosecruises.com/cominocruise.asp .

Yes...sorry Qawra. I like that boat trip option as only 2.5 euros more than the ferry. That is a great help thank you very much. Is it the same bus to Popeye village as to Mellieha as well please as we want to do that as well? Thanks again

Hi Alndi_12,

As a more expensive alternative to the buses, you can book a sightseeing tour that includes the Blue Lagoon with one of the local companies and travel by mini-bus to and from your hotel pick-up point. Saves a lot of hastle, but not as picturesque as the buses.

Have a good holiday.

Hi Crepello

Thanks for that. We may try that option. Depends how much more.

We'll check them out in Qawra/Buggiba when we get there 1st June

Cheers

Re getting to Popeye Village, yes it is the same bus as far as the beach at Mellieha (Ghadira Bay), then you will need to cross over the road and get bus 237 which runs once per hour.

HOWEVER

The bus times are changing on the 1st June and we don't know what time the 237 will be running - once the timetables are publishedI I will try to update this thread for you.

Hi Alndi_12,

When checking out tour companies in Qawra, make sure you try Freestar at a shop called Melodies owned by a lovely lady named Mary, known locally as reliable and reasonable, she also give one of the best exchange rates for the pound. Melodies can be found on the left hand corner at the crossroads opposite the San Antonio Hotel and Spa not far past the bus station.
