Bugibba supermarkets

Will be staying at Sunseeker in Bugibba soon and wondered where the best supermarket is in the area. I know that there is a supermarket at the hotel but wondered if it was well stocked and competitively priced.

We stayed at the Sunseeker last summer. We used Trolleys Supermarket which is about a 10 minute walk along Tourist Street. It stocked a wide variety of products.

Hi KristieH,

The prices in the hotel will be dearer than those at Trolleys Supermarket, which is one of the most popular and cheapest in St Paul's Bay/ Bugibba/ Qawra area. It is very well stocked with a god selection of food and drink. Turn right out of Sunseekers, up the hill and turn left into Tourist Street, right at the crossroads and Trolleys is on the right at the corner. At present part of Tourist Street is closed to vehicles as there is extensive long term building being done at San Antonio & Spa Hotel but I think there is still access for the public. There is another supermarket which is very popular with the Maltese named Piscopos (that is the right spelling) in St Paul's Bay. It also has a large selection of food and drink but transport, car or bus, would be needed back to the Sunseekers.

Crepello,

Is this Trolleys near The Bugibba Hotel? Any places you recommend for our first day and night also? Mid 30's and mid 50's. Have a good day :)

Trolleys is about a 5 minute walk from the Bugibba Hotel, just off Tourist Street. Walk to the crossroads past the San Antonio Hotel and turn right, it's up that street (Triq il Merluzz) on your right.

Hi Lippykels,

The first bar you will see when you leave the Bugibba Hotel into Tourist Street is Munchies just across the road, very popular with the Brits. If you turn left out of the hotel you will find many bars and restaurants the whole length of Tourist Street down to the last bar, Murphy's Irish Pub, most with entertainment, live and karaoke. There are also many bars and restaurants in the side streets off Tourist Street.

Hey guys,

We got home Tues lol. Was good week with just one bad rainy day. Will do proper review in a bit but yeah we used Trollies a few times and other wee shops in Valetta. Had couple good nights in Munchies, Victorias and Fat Harrys.Week is never really long enough although a wk in the Bugibba Hotel is probably more than enough lol. X Lippykels
