Nightlife

Any recommendations to grab some drinks after dinner? Where is the night life in Woodstock, hopefully within walking distance from the main village center?

Thanks!

Visiting in November... if that helps.

Oh Elvis Priscilla527.....

Nightlife and Woodstock don't really go together!

The village is quiet and depending upon which nights you are here you have in the centre and all walking distance; Bentleys and Melaza (Puerto Rican food) and they are currently the only real bars in the village. The Woodstock Inn also has a bar and serves non residents. An eating place with some life and a small bar is PAII, who also serve pizza and opening in August at the east end of the village is the Worthy Kitchen, which if the operation in South Royalton is anything to go by, should provide a wonderful addition to our limited bar scene.

In November you will miss the tourists and get to know the locals.....and where are you staying?

David would know, but when you say "drinks after dinnner" I think you'll be able to find that no problem, from what I recall. That's different than some people's understanding of "nightlife." In November, in almost any small Vermont town, you will find it to be very quiet, but it's a good opportunity to chat with some locals over a few beers.

Thanks! Yes, not necessarily looking for a dance/night club or lively bar, just something to do after dinner besides going back to the room. Drinks, bar w pool tables, etc. thanks for your help!

Ok, bar and pool tables are not in the village to my knowledge and some restaurants close for the month, but there are enough for you to wander or if you drive a short distance ...one of my favourties as a gastro pub is the Skunk Hollow tavern, which can have interesting open mike nights!
