Lodging Recommendation for town of Woodstock VT in late Dec

Can anyone recommend a place to stay for a few days between Christmas and New Years? We would like to stay within walking distance of town. We usually like B&Bs but are flexible especially at this time of year and at this "late" notice.

You can check out B&B's in Woodstock and surrounding vilages on www.woodstockvt.com Last I looked there was still loads of availability between Christmas and New year. You can check tripadvisor for reviews of any of the properties that catch your eye!

Hi Flufffluff,

As already informed the website to check out is the town web site -www.woodstockvt.com. However if you are really interested in just

B & B's check out www.benchmarkinns.com which is one site offering 15 independent B & B"s in the Woodstock area.

For Walking distance of the village you have 6 to choose from within a broad price range. The village gets busy at New Yaear but Christmas availability should be fine if you book in the next few weeks.

Come hungry as the food and resturants choices in the area are amazing!

My family of 2 adults and 3 teens are also looking for accommodations in a quaint Vermont ski town between Christmas and New Years but B&B's are out of our price range. Can you recommend an inn or hotel convenient to skiing which would still give us the "feel" of Vermont while allowing us to stay in one room?

Give us an idea of your price range and I'd be happy to suggest something

We were hoping to not have to spend more than $200 per night for the 5 of us- of course, less would be great. I realize it's probably the most expensive time of year to visit Vermont. Thanks for any advice you can give on lodging.

consider Motel in the Meadow Just outside Chester and within 15 mins drive to Okemo or Majic mountian has one room that accommodates five people - but even if you took two rooms you should still be able to get change from $200. www.motelinthemeadow.com

Its charming in a beautiful location and very clean.

In Woodstock you will find that the Braeside Motel and the Pond Ridge Motel both have rooms under $100 per night.
