Hotels for Final Four...Buckhead area..no availability?

Looking on-line and see that the major hotels in the Buckhead area are showing no availability for next April and the final four weekend....any suggestions?

Midtown. Downtown. See Top Questions on the right.

Thanks....looking at Downtown having the only availability. Any thoughts on the Sheraton, Marriott Marquis, Hilton Garden Inn, or Ellis? I am guessing that the MARTA will drop us at the Buckhead shopping areas, if we stay downtown. We usually stay at Westins or Sheraton's.

The MARTA Lenox station is adjacent to Lenox Square mall, which is across the street from Phipps Plaza. Look at www.itsmarta.com .

Any of those hotels would be fine. Read their TA reviews to see which appeals to you most. If you're using Marta, the Hilton Garen Inn would be least convenient as it would reuire a train change or a longer walk to get north.

Thanks very much....I think we will go with the Sheraton just due to past experiences. The Buckhead area appeals to us to do some shoppping and dinners/wine bars, but if it is an easy Marta ride to the area then staying downtown is no issue.

If you do imbibe Ncaa games don't serve any alcohol. Get your beer before the games. I forgot that last time they played here

Not all NCAA games are dry. Check with the Ga Dome if you want to find out whether alcohol is served at this event.

this from the NCAA policy statement from Google

"Championship Policy -

•The NCAA has for years banned sales and venue advertising of all alcohol at its 88 championships. Host sites are required to cover up any ads for alcoholic drinks."

I know for sure at the last final 4 there werent any beers, i was there at the Dome--This policy only applies to the championship games in all NCAA sports

Dont know where the hosp area is, but there sure wasnt general access in Atl last time to but beer--you could go out the door get stamped, buy a beer at the Omni and come back--but i wasnt that thirsty
