Things to do days after Final Four while in Atlanta...??

We will be in Atlanta for the Final Four and will be doing a Braves game Thursday night and then basketball related events through the weekend....we added a few extra days after the tourney to see the sights in and around Atlanta. We are thinking of grabbing a car for a couple days ( Wednesday and Thursday ) Any recommendations on things to do? Silver Comet Trail? Stone Mountain? We enjoy fitness related activities...e.g. Biking

Thanks

I recommend starting with the Things to Do section to see what appeals to you:

As to whether to rent a car, check out this FAQ:

Check faqs for sure. Id head up to dahlonega. Nice own. Restaurants gold mive et al north of the town are a number if nice parks and hiking trails. Believe Appalach trail is just north if town you could do a circle rout and take Truman pkwy to Helen. Which is a bit touristy but a decent German outdoor restaurant at the bridge overlooking the river total trip might take 4 hrs with one meal

In Atlanta you might enjoy biking or running/walking The Beltline.

Can you see a lot of the city doing the belt line? Also do you know if they rent bikes in and around Piedmont park, or at Stone Mountain?

Thanks

You can rent skates at Skate Escape, which is just across the street from Piedmont Park:

The Beltline meanders through the city, but goes along an old rail line, so it doesn't go down major streets or to big tourist attractions. You'll see neighborhoods and parks, and public art along the way, but it is not a sight-seeing circuit. I'd suggest the Eastside trail:

Lots of places to stop along the way for refreshments.

If you are into mountain biking, you could rent a car and a bike in atlanta and head north to clayton, georgia, about 1 hour, 45 minutes away and ride the stonewall creek bike trail in clayton. It goes over the river several times and the waterfall. n-georgia.com/stonewall-falls-white-twister-… ...you could then ride a little north to eat at the Dillard House in dillard, georgia, after your bike ride. It is an all you can eat family style restaurant that has good southern style cooking.
