South of Atlanta on I-75 4th of July

I need a nice, family friendly, town south of Atlanta to stay for the 4th of July. My kids are 7 and 10. We will be traveling on I-75 south and will have a day to spend somewhere. It will be on July 4th so we would love to be somewhere there is something fun to do. We do not want to stay in Atlanta.

Do your kids like airplanes? If so, then the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins might be fun:

They are open on July 4th, and I'm sure there will be some special displays or events for the holiday.
