We spent a week in June there. The people are wonderful and did all possible to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast is not Marriott but OK. A lot of people attending the mountain climbing school stay there. There are a couple of good restarunts toward the park you'll like. However, if you are a Marriott+ traveler, it will be a bit rustic for you.

The best thing about this lodge is the location to the park! Very convenient. Otherwise it is a basic, non-descript motel room. The rooms are a bit tired. The owners are a bit tired too(lol). Yeah, they aren't customer service oriented types and seems to have little patience with their customers.

There is now TV and free internet, and the rooms are clean. The free coffee and breakfast are less than great and I opted to purchase a good meal at the Cooper Creek Cafe-or you can go to the Internet cafe for great coffee.

Bottom line-yeah stay there for a place close to beautiful Mt. Rainier but don't expect anything special.
