Renting Cabins at Game Lodge CAMPGROUND in Custer State Park

My husband and I are going to being staying at Custer State Park in Sept 2013 for a week.I looked online and found camping cabins on the lil creek at Custer Game Lodge Campground. Has anyone ever stayed there ?(preferably Cabin 9 10 or 11 ) We would like our privacy but like the idea of being on the creek. Any info would be helpful, this is our 25th Anniversary present to each other and just want to enjoy possibly fishing right outside cabin and all Custer has to offer.

Welcome to the forums, Doug and Sue.

I have not ever stayed in the camping cabins, but I noticed that you are celebrating your 25th anniversary. I'm just verifying that you know the cabins are rather primitive and do not have bathrooms. I also believe that you need to bring your own linens, and there are no cooking facilities.

If you are looking for a little more special setting with more amenities, you might consider a housekeeping cabin in Custer SP. If the camping cabins fulfill your needs, that's fine too.

Hopefully someone who has stayed in a cabin in Custer SP will respond to your inquiry.

Thank you , but we do like roughing it. Usually tent campers so this is a luxury. More into the beauty of the outdoors than where we sleep. Thanks for your help we greatly appreciate it, :)
