How to help?

We visited Estes Park last month and absolutely loved the area and its awesome people. We are heartbroken seeing the images of the devastation brought on by the flooding. We want to help, but we are unfamiliar with the organizations in the area. What are reputable organizations that we can send donations to, to help those impacted by this flooding?

This is David Jessup, co-owner of Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch, near Estes Park. Despite the devastation we've experienced (twice in 37 years!) we are blown away by our many guests who are raising funds to rebuild Sylvan Dale. www.youcaring.com/rebuildsylvandale. Can't tell you how much this lifts our spirits and strengthens our determination to re-create this magic place that means so much to so many.

For those of you not familiar with Sylvan Dale, I thought I would post this article from today in our local paper. Sylvan Dale is a wonderful place, and many people locally and from all over the country have fond memories of time spent there. They have also been wonderful in the past in always helping out with many community organizations. They really are wonderful people.
