Sabino Canyon

Is Sabino Canyon and all the major trails open to the public again? I read a while ago about a flood that had closed many points of the trails, but their website doesn't mention anything about it now.

The flood was in 2006. The trails have been open for some time, but not completely. However, the grand reopening was, I think, last week, indicating that everything is back to normal. I haven't been back there in a few months though.

We went there last week and took the tram to the top. The driver mentioned that the grand opening was just the previous Friday, but that the road had been open for a while.

There was still some work going on at a few places along the road. It looked like the trails were all opened.

The canyon is a lot more visible now. The flood took out a lot of trees along the river.

Yes, as others have indicated, the tram goes all the way to the end of the road. Once you pay you can get on and off as much as you like for the day. The restoom at the top was washed away by the flood but there are other along the way. There is a very nice gift shop and visitor center near the tram loading area. There is also a nature trail. Great scenery and a narration by the tram driver on the way up. So many things to see and do here. Have fun!
