Omni or Westin

We are visiting Tucson next April and have decided we will choose between the Westin La Paloma Resort or the Omni Tucson Golf Resort - has anyone stayed at either of these? Would be grateful if someone you let us know which is the better of the two?

Many thanks

Both are very nice. Depends on what else you may want to do while here. Westin is near dining and shopping and close to town; Omni is not.

Both are very good properties. The Westin has more modern pools with slides, etc. if that is a consideration. As PP pointed out, there are more restaurants and shopping close to the Westin, but the Omni is not that remote - only 2-3 miles from the Foothills Mall and a number of restaurants in that area. Restaurants and shopping near the Westin will be a bit "higher end."

If you're golfing, the Westiin is more of a desert course and the Omni is more of a "traditional" layout with bigger trees, etc.
