advice re car rental

we are flying in to Tucson Dec. 16 and staying at the Radisson near the airport. will rent a car the morning of the 17th.

Looks like Advantage has the best prices ... maybe because they are not situated in the airport so avoid airport taxes, fees, surcharges and what-have-you?will be driving into the area near Bowie.

any advice as to best company to rent a standard car from?

TIA

Just out of curiosity, why are you going to Bowie? Are you going to one of the B&Bs in the Chiricahuas?

I distinctly remember reading an article a number of years ago about Advantage going out of business and leaving Tucson, but I guess they've returned. They certainly look cheap and don't seem to tack on additional fees. I would be very careful to read over the contract thoroughly before signing, but also make sure to catalog even the most minor damage on the vehicle you get with the agent when you rent.
