Greyhound from Houston to San Antonio

Looking for some advice....

My mum and friend are coming over to Houston from Ireland....with their independent spirit and reluctance to drive in the US, they want to take the bus from Houston to San Antonio.

Friends here are worried especially as many have seen the Bus Station in Downtown opposite Sammy's. But they are travelling in the mid morning on Thursday and back Friday night.

Anyone done this trip? Any issues.....is it safe?

Thanks

San Antonio dowtown bus station is okay...relatively small...

station is only about 3-4blocks away from the riverwalk...All they will need to do is walk (south) on St. Mary's street (west side of station) ..same direction as traffic and they will hit the RW. (RW is below street level)

sorry, no idea about Houston bus station

1/2 block down/up from Greyhound is Blanco Cafe for cheap Mexican food.
