Hotel Reccs

Hi, we are planning a late May trip, Riverwalk and Sea World are on our list of of must sees, we are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a good neighborhood. Some friends told us to stay on the Riverwalk, but it looks like most of those hotels run $160+, we were kind of looking for something more affordable. But we don't know the area as we have never been before and don't want to end up in a bad nieghborhood. Any help would be apperciated! Thanks!

On the Riverwalk, did you check out the rates for The Drury Inn & Drury Plaza they are usually pretty reasonable with great amenities.

Comfort Suites near Seaworld is a great place to stay and in a nice area.

Fairfield Inn / Courtyard SA Downtown/Market Square are very nice & near the Riverwalk.

On the SE near City Base is a very good area that has reasonable rates for hotels like

La Quinta Inn SA Alamodome South on 3180 Goliad Rd

Best Western Shetland Suites 3602 SE Miltary

The 2 above are about 10 miles to riverwalk & about 10 min drive to riverwalk & easy excess to all hwy in SA.

Drury Inn & Suites SA NW 9806 W I 10

If you need more suggestion cause these don't work for you just re-ask.

I hope this is so help for you.

Are you wanting to be near downtown or Seaworld Or does It Matter???

Have a great time in SA

For another option, check out Omni Colonnade..They have a nice Seaworld package, free breakfast drinks delivered, free breakfast and you will avoid a 10-15$ daily parking fee,by staying off the river...If you want to stay on the river, use Priceline or Expedia for your best rates...

I have stayed at the Hampton Inn downtown - short walk to the Riverwalk, Alamo, RiverCenter, etc. Free parking and the usual Hampton breakfast. Felt safe there. Should be reasonable rate, compared to places right on the river.
