One and half day in San Antonio

Hello,

I will stay in the hotel by Riverwalk, Please give me ideas to spend one and half day in San Antonio. I like history, not theme park.

Thank you in advance

For $4 you can buy an all-day bus pass, which can help you get around. I rode the trolley car routes just to see the city.

You have gotten some great suggestion from the above posters but here are a couple more.

Aztec on the River www.aztecontheriver.com

Historic Sunset Station www.sunset-station.com

San Fernando Cathedral www.sfcathedral.org

Tower of the Americas www.toweroftheamericas.com

I totally agree with the Alamo & movie of the Alamo & Mission Trail.

Hi All,

Thanks very much for the information. I have a few more questions, I am staying at the Drury Plaza.

**Please recommend a good restaurant for Steak and TexMex food.

**Are there any buses or trolley to take from Alamo to continue the Mission Trail?

Thanks again

The Drury Plaza is a great place to stay with its FREE amenities. For steaks There is Saltgrass www.saltgrass.com or Texas Land & Cattle www.texaslandandcattle.com if you are looking for good & reasonable. If you are looking for Fine Dining then it's Bohanan's www.bohanans.com

For good Tex-Mex I would suggest going to the Market Square www.marketsquaresa.com at eating at La Margarita www.lamargarita.com or Mi Tierra www.mitierracafe.com

You can take a tour which goes to a couple of the missions. www.alamosightseeingtours.com or www.SanAntonioTours.net Their is a bike trail if you want to do that www.nps.gov/saan
