Hotel Input: Grand Hyatt or Omni La Mansion del Rio

Which of these two hotels would you recommend for a peaceful weekend with the better half? :) Looking for good service and ambiance.

contact someone at La Mansion and see if you can reserve a room with a good view. We've stayed in one of the rooms on the first floor a few times, just above Riverwalk level with a balcony. Can't remember the room number, but it was awesome. Stayed there when the holiday lights were up, my wife had some health problems and couldn't walk much, so it was like bringing the riverwalk into the room.

La Mansion quite easily. I stayed here once during our anniversary back in 2011

Just left La Mansion yesterday... the service was incredible. Rooms on courtyard a bit dark but I wasn't in my room much anyway. Stay river side if you can. Great pool - met fun people laying out

We must have been there at the same time - we checked out on the 8th too. Did we talk in the elevator about the snow back home (we were the Canadians just arriving)?

I agree the service was incredible - Dan in the check in/ valet parking area is a prince. And the rooms on the Riverwalk side are just as dark - it's the one thing I didn't like.

La Mansion. And don't miss Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant Las Canarias. It is pricy ($30/person), but absolutely worth it.
