need hotel help... please!

My friend and I will be in town for st pattys. We want to hang out on the riverwalk. We're having a hard time finding a riverwalk hotel in our budget. Is there another area to stay in that will be easy to get to by taxi? Or is there other safe, reliable transportation late at night?

Tia!

What is your budget? Have you looked at Market Square or Sunset station? Both are walkable to the Riverwalk.

Have you tried Hotwire or Priceline? You should be able to find something near the River for $100-130 if not less.

We're going to go ahead and cross our fingers and try priceline. We were hoping around $100 though.

I am curious to see which hotel you got on Priceline. Have you tried www.visitsanantonio.com? There is a section called SAVE. Click on the icon and then lodging and check out the hotels that offer SAVE rates. I always use this whenever I travel to San Antonio. It saves quite a bit of money. There are several hotels in the area that should be around your $100 price range. Good luck and hope this helps.

Try Drury on the river walk. Good value and close to the main part of the river.
