Getting around in Thousand Oaks

I just relocated here, and am trying to get a public ride from one place to another (for example 5 miles). The bus requires a transfer, and a cab seems pretty costly, are there any other transportation services here? I know I should walk (early in the morning) or bike (bike still not moved here yet). Appreciate any creative ideas.

Welcome to TO !

We have a dial-a-ride program but it is limited to those age 62+ or those holding an ADA card. That's an American with Disabilities card, not the American Dental Assoc card ;)

The only other choices are the ones you have already indicated. Keep in mind that the local bus does have the capabilities of carrying your bike.

Send me a PM if you need more relocation help.
