rush hour traffic north of Springfield

I may be going through Springfield at about 4:30 - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, heading to Vermont, and am wondering how heavy northbound traffic on I-91 generally is at that time? thanks.

Traffic on I-91 northbound is rare. You should have no trouble. Happy travels!

There are a couple of places where there can be backups. It seems the state is always working on some strectch of the road around exit 22 or in the vicinity and it can get backed up if they close a land. It can also be very busy around Ingleside Mall although it doesn't usually come to a halt. I don't think you will have any major problems, but it may be busier than you would expect. Safe travels!
