Suggestions for this afternoon and evening

Does anyone have some fun suggestions for our family to do this late afternoon and or evening? We have already gone to Lowell. It is for my husband and I and our two daughters ages 17 & 19.

Live music would be ok, a fun restaurant that has entertainment also, interesting tours, live theater, etc. My husband and the girls are gone to Sedona for a while and will probably be back around 4ish. A lot of what I have seen closes at 5 or 6 and that doesn't give them much time to shower and change and for us to have any time left to enjoy the activity. This is our last night of our vacation and we would like to do something other than pack.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sorry I didn't see your message in time to help you out. I hope you had fun, whatever you did.

For any future visitors who may have similar questions, here are some ideas:

The Flagstaff Live! Arts & Entertainment weekly (newspaper) is available free at many restaurants and other venues around town and can be a wealth of information on what is going on in town any particular day. You can also view their community calendar at http://flaglive.com/

Theatrikos Theater Co. is a local community theater based downtown and is worth checking their calendar to see if they have a production playing at the time of your visit. They usually have plays on Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees when an active show is playing. www.Theatrikos.com

Northern Arizona University's theater department also runs good productions for reasonable cost: http://nau.edu/cal/theatre/ and the university also has a good music department for more options: http://nau.edu/CAL/Music/Events/

The Flagstaff Symphony is another option: http://www.flagstaffsymphony.org/

The Orpheum Theater used to play movies back in the good ol' days but now hosts live music events regularly and parties (such as "Adult Prom") on occasion. http://www.orpheumpresents.com/

During summers from about Memorial to Labor Day, there is always free entertainment on Heritage Square downtown on the weekends. heritagesquaretrust.org/events/events.html

And if your visit happens to be on the first Friday of any given month, year-round, the First Friday Artwalk is always a lively scene. http://www.flagstaffartwalk.com/

These are just a few ideas. As a college town with its share of pubs, there is always something going on and even just an evening stroll around downtown can be entertainment of its own.

Thanks Redrox for the suggestion. We went and really enjoyed ourselves. Just wished we could have stayed later but we didn't want to prevent the waiter from being able to have more tables and cut into his tips.

Glad you enjoyed it. When I'm having that much fun and don't want to leave I just give the waiter a bigger tip.
