Other than perhaps bitter cold and snow piled up alongside the roads - and barring some Godawful storm that particular weekend - should I be okay in driving from Pittsburgh to Buffalo Feb 7 and returning here Feb 9th?
I guess what I am asking about is how your roads are kept in the winter. In Pittsburgh, we get snow. Not as much as Buffalo. But even for, say, a 10" overnight snow, we are set up for it and the roads are cleared and salted promptly.
I am assuming it is the same in Buffalo?
I have a relative who lives in Seattle. When they get 2" of snow, which is not very often, the entire city is a friggin' mess for days, they will close the schools for 3 days. They have no plows, no salt, the people don't have proper tires on their cars and they most assuredly don't know how to drive in snow. They end up having these massive pileups. (Youtube has some amusing videos on this)
Your thoughts would be appreciated,
