Cleaning Fee for Vacation Rental

We need a clue as we will be staying in Honolulu for 10 days and this is our 1st trip from Asia to US. Yes, we're newbie!

Me and my husband are new with vacation rental. Is it normal for owner to charge $125 for the cleaning fee in Honolulu for 5 days staying and $250 for refundable deposit?

Will they clean the unit everyday or 1 time only after we're leaving?

Will the $250 deposit quick in refund?

How much is the normal average rate for renting in early February.

Thanks in advance,

Yes, that’s standard, and no, it doesn’t include any daily cleaning other than upon checkout. Most of the time the contract will specify the return of the damage deposit, but it should be within 30 days.

It’s really difficult to tell you an “average rate”, it depends on size, location, etc.

Yes, that is normal and sometimes much more.

It is for cleaning the unit when you leave to be ready for the next rental.

February is high season, you may be able to get a small studio for around $200/night.

Many rentals are mych more, depends what you are looking for.

check prices on vrbo or airbnb.
