Shaved Ice???

Ok so I've been reading a lot about this whole shaved ice stuff. Is it just a snow cone?

NO! The ice should be very finely shaved, like very fine snow. Get ice cream on the bottom for a real treat. Try some of the tropical flavors. I recommend lilikoi (passionfruit), guava and mango

It's actually called Shave Ice and no it's not just a sno cone!! Similar but the ice is really fine. There sometimes can be ice cream at the bottom. More flavors than you can imagine.

At least in Washington, at the fairs here, they trumpet "Hawaiian Shaved Ice" ....I know to avoid it if they don't "get it right"! Shave ice, shave ice, shave ice! There is a HUGE difference from a snow-cone!
