TheBus to Pearl Harbour

Do the East bound routes of #20 and #42 stop at the Pearl Harbour (Arizona Memorial)? I was looking at these routes on TheBus's website. For the west bound service (i.e. departing from Waikiki), the route shows a stop ("N") at the Arizona Memorial but the east bound route does not show stop "N".

Can I take these routes on my way back to Waikiki?

Aloha,

The bus stop will be to the right a few steps as you get on Kamehameha Hwy

Just a short walk

Go up the hill out of PH to Hwy and turn left (sorry Jet83) and walk about 30-40 yards to buss stop! Buses just don't go into the drop-off point when returning to Waikiki.

Although one of the pdf maps seem to show the bus entering the Memorial, my advice is to play it safe and assume it won't. This was actually my experience - it didn't.

The good news though is that there is a stop just outside the Memorial on the Kamehameha Highway and from there it's a 5-min walk to the visitor center. For the return trip there's also a stop just outside the Memorial, also on the Kam Hwy.

Yes, we found that confusing, but a private bus driver, seeing confused tourists, stopped to direct us to the bus stop.

Arriving, the bus will drop you off close to the Pearl Harbor site entrance (off the highway).

To leave, you have to walk up to the highway where a bus stop is located to the left of the road that goes down into the park.

Since there are two buses- #20 and #42, which one is the more desirable one? Does one make more stops than the other and takes longer to get to the destination?

Isn't there a bus that just does p/u's for Pearl Harbor?

#20 and #42 both go to PH. #42 is considered Express, and will probably be a few minutes shorter on the ride.

No "specific" bus for PH, unless you arrange a tour. The buses in question are part of the public transit system on Oahu which is one of the best in the U. S.

Aloha,

My bad it is indeed to the left of the entrance to Memorial as you are leaving
