Honolulu is large metropolitan city, no one camps in Honolulu!!

Bellows Beach is open to the public on weekends.

I do not know if that includes camping for the public.

If so, that would be my 1st choice.

Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden would also be nice.

You can camp at Aala Park.

Right in downtown Honolulu

Many of the campgrounds on Oahu are used by homeless.

I would not stay in or near them.

Besides the two I mentioned, I will add this one in Aiea near Honolulu.

You absolutely need a car for any of them.
