Great trip report and photos. Thanks for sharing. What time were you at Old Faithful when you took that huge crowd photo? I guess we will be visiting early in the day or later in the evening, can't imagine hanging out with that many people for very long, lol! Feedback from me the high school teacher...spell check please.

Thanks for all the views and replies. I was at old faithful around 130 pm in the afternoon on a Monday at the end of June.

I will check the spelling, thanks!

Great pics. Curious what kind of lenses you were using.

We're going next month for our first trip and I'm worried my 250mm won't have the range to get and good animal shots.

Thanks for the great report. I'm working on ours from July 3-10 which I'll post here. Also planning on doing a trip blog with photos at some point which I'll link to. I was going to do bullet-points but found it just doesn't do the trip justice, hopefully the length will be forgiven if the info is useful to some.

Hi Matt,

Was using a Canon 6.2-18.6mm Digital Elph.

Hi Spurs Fan,

Yes, it is a named spring. That is called Cistern Spring - part of the Norris Geyser Basin.
