Is there any wildfire smoke in Yellowstone?

Is there clear skies and no smoke in Yellowstone? anyone? We are stuck in the smoky Tetons and will make day trips to Yellowstone if it is clear.

If it were I, I would certainly get up to the geothermal features on the west side, Old Faithful, etc. During my numerous trips into the park this summer the smoke has had little impact on the incredible magnificence of those geysers and such. Enjoy!

A suggestion, check the webcams at various locations across the park, they will give you some ideas on the visibilities.

Last week, we were in Yellowstone for 9 days. Yes, there were fires burning, however, there was very little impact and they were not noticed most of the time. Yellowstone is huge....

Yesterday was smoky. Today, just in certain areas. West side of the park was mostly blue skies (around Mammoth, Norris and on the way out of the park from Madison Jct. to West Yellowstone.

Hope that helps!

We just left Yellowstone yesterday, their is some hazy in all parts of the park but nothing like Grand Tetons. Norris area had more hazy than others due to a small fire nearby.

The only smoke we encountered today was from a controlled burn near Norris. It was pretty clear.
