Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton itinerary

We are flying in to Denver on 10 June for a 17 day visit. 2 nights in Cody is first on our wish list - is it too far to drive in one go from the airport after a night's sleep? Then on to Grand Teton for 3 nights, Yellowstone for 5 nights, Glacier National Park for 4 nights. This leaves 2.5 days to get back to Denver. Our plan is to stay in one location at each destination as we prefer to put down roots rather than live out of a suitcase.

I would welcome your expert comments on our proposal and thank you in advance.

Denver to Cody takes about 8 hours of driving, a little longer from the Denver airport, so you can make the drive in one long day.

I understand your wanting to stay in one place in each location, however, in Yellowstone most of us recommend 2 locations just to cut down on the driving you will do within the park as well as being able to explore that area in the early AM and evening.

I would also probably break up your Yellowstone days with your Teton days like this: Cody 2 nights, Canyon or Lake in Yellowstone 3 nights, Grand Tetons 3 nights, Old Faithful in Yellowstone 2 nights, then on to Glacier.
